Hanne Schou-Rode has more than 25 years of experience from international business with 15 years in leadership positions. She has studied in Denmark, Sweden and the USA, earning an MA in literature from the University of Copenhagen. During her career, she supplemented her theoretical background with professional training in relevant areas of expertise, such as business strategy development and implementation at Harvard Business School and Management Centre Europe. Her career encompasses international experience in various professional areas, such as Knowledge Leadership, Human Resources, IT, business strategy, management and administration.
Her latest assignment was Vice President for Business Strategy & Governance and Knowledge Leadership for Novo Nordisk A/S, a healthcare company and a world leader in diabetes care. At Novo Nordisk she created and headed several strategic functions in Knowledge Management, Business Strategy & Management, Human Resources and IT. She was the driver for the Knowledge Leadership strategy and initiatives for several years, a position that included responsibility for the global intranet: that is, the strategy, development and roll-out of a modern global intranet, ‘GlobeShare’, based on MS SharePoint 2007. H. Schou-Rode also served as the Chief of Staff and Executive Assistant to the Executive Vice President of Corporate Responsibility at Novo Nordisk.
H. Schou-Rode is a member of the Knowledge Leadership Forum, Entovation 100, and appointed as the Entovation ‘Research Fellow’ of Knowledge Products/Services.
Hanne Schou-Rode is a frequent speaker at international conferences, events and business schools on subjects related to knowledge strategy & capital, stakeholder innovation, global intranet, business strategy, performance management and governance systems. She is also a professional board member and partner of Lingtech, Denmark, a major translation bureau in Scandinavia. In 2008 H. Schou-Rode accomplished a professional BoD-education “Strategic Boardroom” and January 2009 she received a personal license as a certified board member.
